Critical Installation & Hydraulic Fluid Information

The Müller Hydro Clutch must be installed using the correct procedures and compatible hydraulic system components.

Never Expose the Seals to Mineral Oil

WARNING: Müller specifically states that its Hydro Clutch seals must not come into contact with mineral oil.

Mineral oil exposure can damage the seals and potentially cause complete clutch system failure.

If the seals have already been exposed to mineral oil:

DO NOT INSTALL THE HYDRO CLUTCH. CONTACT MÜLLER DIRECTLY.

Use only the hydraulic fluid specified by the applicable Müller installation instructions and the motorcycle's hydraulic system requirements.

Do not assume fluids are interchangeable.

Troubleshooting: Clutch Not Disengaging Completely?

If the clutch does not disengage properly after installation, Müller identifies several possible causes.

1. Air Trapped in the Hydraulic System

Müller states that improper bleeding is responsible for approximately 90% of the clutch disengagement issues it encounters.

Small air bubbles may remain trapped in the hydraulic line even after an initial bleeding procedure.

The system must be bled thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Aftermarket Clutch Lever Geometry

Some aftermarket clutch levers change the lever's travel or resting position.

If the lever does not provide sufficient hydraulic travel, the clutch may fail to disengage completely.

3. Aftermarket Hydraulic Clutch Controls

Changing the master cylinder or other hydraulic clutch components can affect the system's hydraulic displacement.

An incompatible configuration may prevent complete clutch disengagement.
