What Makes These Shocks Different?

Nitrogen-Charged Monotube Design

These shocks use steel monotube damper bodies with hard chrome-plated shafts and nitrogen charging.

The design helps provide consistent damping as the suspension moves through its travel.

Dual-Rate Progressive Springs

The progressive-wound springs are designed to provide a comfortable ride while offering additional support as the suspension compresses.

It's a nice combination for a street bike that sees everything from rough pavement to longer highway rides.

Adjustable Spring Preload

You can adjust the spring preload to better suit your weight, passenger, or luggage setup.

Preload is used to set suspension sag and ride position. It doesn't change the spring's actual rate, but it does let you fine-tune how the bike sits under load.

Adjustable Ride Height

These shocks offer approximately 1/2 inch of ride-height adjustment in either direction from the listed shock length.

That gives you a little flexibility when setting up the stance of your bike.

Just remember, changing shock length can also affect suspension travel, ground clearance, and handling.

Clean Black or Chrome Finish

The black version keeps things simple with black springs, black damper bodies, and matching black end caps and eyelets.

The chrome version features chrome springs and damper bodies with clear anodized end caps and eyelets.

Choosing the Right Shock Length

This is something worth paying attention to before ordering.

Shock length affects more than just how high or low your bike sits.

A longer shock can change rear ride height and suspension geometry, while a shorter shock can reduce available suspension travel and ground clearance.

If you're replacing your stock shocks with a different length, make sure you understand what that change will do to your bike.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

• Shorter-than-stock shocks may have reduced suspension travel, which can affect ride quality and handling.

• Lowering the bike reduces ground clearance and cornering clearance.

• Check tire, fender, swingarm, exhaust, and chain or belt guard clearance before changing shock length.

• Make sure there's enough clearance throughout the suspension's full range of movement.

• These shocks are not designed to be used with rear lowering kits.

Important Fitment Notes
