Why Upgrade Your Harley Rear Rotor Bolts?

Brake rotor hardware doesn't get much attention until you're staring directly at it.

Then those old factory bolts suddenly become pretty noticeable.

Years of riding, washing, weather, road grime, and maintenance can leave factory hardware looking worn, discolored, or corroded.

That's especially noticeable when you've just installed a:

  • New rear brake rotor

  • Custom wheel

  • Performance wheel

  • Upgraded brake setup

  • New rear suspension

  • Other premium hardware

The Imzz Elite ARP Rear Rotor Bolt Kit gives you a clean way to replace that hardware with premium ARP 12-point fasteners.

If you're already taking the rotor off, it's the perfect time to upgrade the bolts holding it on.

ARP 12-Point Hardware

The distinctive ARP 12-point head gives your rear brake assembly the clean, purposeful appearance associated with performance hardware.

The compact head design also looks right at home alongside upgraded wheels, rotors, calipers, suspension components, and other ARP hardware.

It's a small part of the motorcycle.

But when the rest of the build is dialed in, details like hardware make a difference.

Black Oxide or Stainless Steel?

Choose the finish that works best with your motorcycle and your maintenance preferences.

Black Oxide ARP

Black Oxide gives the hardware a dark, performance-oriented appearance that works especially well with black wheels, dark rotors, and blacked-out builds.

Black oxide is a conversion finish rather than a thick decorative coating.

It also requires regular preventative maintenance to preserve its appearance and help protect against oxidation.

Don't Wait Until You See Rust.

Maintain your Black Oxide hardware regularly.

Waiting until oxidation or rust has already developed makes restoring that deep, clean appearance much more difficult.

A few minutes of preventative maintenance is considerably easier than trying to restore neglected hardware later.

Stainless Steel ARP

Prefer a brighter hardware finish? Choose Stainless Steel.

Stainless ARP hardware creates a clean contrast against darker wheels, rotors, and brake components and is an excellent choice for riders who prefer the machined/stainless performance-hardware look.

Designed for Harley-Davidson Applications

This ARP Rear Brake Rotor Bolt Kit is intended for compatible Harley-Davidson rear rotor applications, including select:

  • Milwaukee-Eight / M8 models

  • Touring models

  • Dyna models

  • Softail models

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Harley-Davidson has used different wheels, rotors, hubs, and hardware configurations across model years and platforms.

Verify compatibility with your exact year, model, wheel, and rear rotor configuration before ordering.

When Should You Replace Your Rear Rotor Hardware?

This kit makes an excellent addition when you're:

Replacing Your Rear Brake Rotor

If the rotor is already coming off, it's an ideal opportunity to replace the hardware at the same time.

Installing a New Wheel

Don't put tired hardware onto a fresh wheel.

Refreshing an Older Harley

Old, weathered rotor bolts can make an otherwise clean rear end look unfinished.

Building a Performance Harley

If you've already upgraded the suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust, and drivetrain, premium hardware helps finish the details.

Converting More of the Bike to ARP

Already running ARP hardware elsewhere?

Carry the same 12-point hardware look through the rear brake assembly.

Black Oxide Care & Maintenance

Black Oxide hardware should be maintained regularly—especially on motorcycles exposed to rain, humidity, road grime, or frequent washing.

For ongoing care:

  • Keep the hardware clean

  • Dry the bolts after washing the motorcycle

  • Avoid allowing moisture and road grime to remain on the surface

  • Periodically apply a light protective oil

  • Wipe the hardware with a lightly treated rag

  • Increase maintenance frequency in wet or humid environments

Products such as WD-40 or Silikroil can be applied to a rag and lightly wiped over the hardware.

Why Are New Black Oxide Bolts Oily?

That's intentional.

Oil is used with the Black Oxide finish to help provide additional protection and maintain its appearance.

If your new Black Oxide ARP hardware arrives with a light oil film, don't mistake it for a problem.

It's part of protecting the finish.

Complete the Brake Hardware Upgrade

Doing the rear? Take a look at the front.

Pair your ARP Rear Brake Rotor Bolt Kit with the matching Imzz Elite ARP Front Brake Rotor Bolt Kit for a consistent 12-point hardware look across the motorcycle.

Front + Rear = Finished.

Choose your front kit based on your motorcycle's:

  • Single-disc setup

  • Dual-disc setup

  • Specific front-end and wheel configuration

Then match your Black Oxide or Stainless hardware front to rear.

Why Imzz Elite ARP Hardware kits?

At Imzz Elite, ARP hardware isn't an afterthought.

We've spent years building application-specific Harley-Davidson ARP kits around the components riders actually replace, service, and upgrade.

The goal isn't simply swapping bolts because they look different.

It's giving Harley riders a clean, purpose-built hardware solution without having to hunt down individual fasteners one at a time.

From rotor hardware to suspension, controls, seats, exhaust, and other applications, our ARP kits make it easier to carry a consistent premium hardware look throughout your motorcycle.
