Rear Sprocket or Pulley Lock Ring
Avoid loose rear sprocket bolts using this Sprocket Lock Kit. This is a two piece machined lock ring
with hardware. Fits Big Twin and Sportster models with a 5 bolt pattern that utilizes
Hex Head Hardware. Works on belt drive pulleys and chain drive sprockets.

Installation ensures a positive retention on the bolts and keeps them from backing out. Works on all models with 5/8″ style hex head bolts and rear mag wheel.

Installation:
- Safely support the motorcycle as needed and remove the rear wheel as per service
manual. - Remove the 5 bolts that secure the rear drive sprocket to the wheel. Discard
the 5 flat washers from the sprocket bolts. The backing plate is to be used in place of the
washers (the backing plate has 5 larger round holes, and 5 tapped holes). - Position the backing plate against the sprocket and reinstall the 5/8” hex head hardware using red loctite. Use a torque wrench and refer to your manual for torque specs.
- Position the outer locking ring over the bolt heads with the lightly radiused edge facing outward. You
may need to rotate the ring or tighten bolts as needed to allow the outer locking
ring to slip over the bolt heads. The outer locking ring is designed to fit over the bolt
heads. - Once the outer locking ring is positioned, install the 5 included 1/4-20 button head screws
with blue loctite on the threads. - Reinstall the wheel following all procedures in your manual.
